Journey through Winton’s mesa country to see a snapshot of an ancient environment and dinosaur footprints from 95 million years ago. Lark Quarry Conservation Park hosts the only known dinosaur stampede in the world with more than 3300 footprints preserved. Along the way, we venture off the beaten track and onto private property to discover the hidden treasures of the vast landscape and natural environment. We'll have morning tea under the trees before continuing on to the stampede for the site tour there. There's so much more than dinosaurs, so you'll hear interesting and relevant information throughout the day.

Duration: 3/4 day = 6hours and 45 minutes
Time: 9.00am to 3.45pm
​Group Size: min 2-18 max (definitely a minimum of 2 guests but sometimes only a maximum of 14 guests)
NOTE: This tour does not include the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum.
What to Bring: Camera, comfortable footwear, full water bottle.
Dietary Requirements: We understand that you may have medical conditions that require you to have special dietary requirements. If you let us know when you book then we can cater for you (in the Special Requirements section). Common dietary requirements we cater for are celiac/gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan. If your specific requirements are different or more complex, please email us to make sure we get it right for you.
Mobility Devices: We have limited space for mobility devices such as walkers and portable wheelchairs and scooters. Please email us if you need to bring one of these so we can make space for it.
Pick up Location: We pick up at all Winton accommodation (including local residences), so we just need to know where you are staying in Winton. If you don't know yet, just put TBA, but please remember to let us know when you know. We start pick ups 15 minutes prior to the tour time but the pick up time is the same for every location - Winton is a small town!
Pre-Purchased Dinosaur Stampede passes: If you have pre-purchased a Dinosaur Stampede ticket or combination pass such as the Dinosaur Trail or Winton Dinosaur Capital pass with AAOD, then we offer a discount for the price we pay for the Stampede tour. Please contact us for more information on this.
