Rangelands Rifts and Sunset Tour

We supply sunset nibbles as well as one complimentary glass of wine, soft drink or juice and have a limited supply available at sunset. Should you have specific tastes or wish to drink more than the one glass at sunset, then you are welcome to BYO.

Tour Includes:
     - Guided walk through the Rangelands Rifts

     - Monday. Wednesday and Saturday (April to October) 

     - Monday, Wednesday and Friday (November to March)
     - days may vary accoring to operational requirements.

Duration: 3 hours
Time: approx 4.00pm - start time varies throughout the year according to sunset times (eg start time can be 4.00pm in Winton and 5.15pm start in summer)
​Group Size: min 2-18 max (definitely a minimum of 2 guests but sometimes only a maximum of 14 guests)

Safety information and some legal stuff:
The Rangelands Rifts are rocky chasms and as such have uneven and gravelly surfaces with rock surrounding it. Although this tour is a walk through the chasms and not rock hoping or climbing, this location could pose a risk of harm or injury. All care is taken to ensure your safety but we ask you to consider your own abilities before entering the rifts and ask you to respect the instruction of our Red Dirt Tours guide at all times. By purchasing the Rangelands Rifts and Sunset Tour you understand and agree to this and release Red Dirt Tours Pty Ltd (ABN 59646734401) and the land lessee Rangelands Outback Camp Pty Ltd (ABN 92648196285) from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from participation in the activity. I agree to accept financial responsibility for the costs related to medical or other treatment including transportation and confirm same by purchasing this tour.

What to Bring: Camera, comfortable footwear, full water bottle.

Dietary Requirements: We understand that you may have medical conditions that require you to have special dietary requirements. If you let us know when you book then we can cater for you (in the Special Requirements section). Common dietary requirements we cater for are celiac/gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan. If your specific requirements are different or more complex, please email us to make sure we get it right for you.

The Terrain and Fitness Level: This is not a fast walk, it's enjoyable; it's not rock hopping but across and around rocks; it is uneven and does go slightly down and up a gravel path that has rock obstacles within it. When we do the rifts section of the tour it is a circuit - slightly down and then back across the top to the bus. If you are unable to walk through the rifts, our guide will find a safe location for you to wait at the top of the rifts for the groups return, before we continue on to the sunset lookout. The sunset lookout is relatively flat but with slightly uneven surface - just watch your step.

Mobility Devices: We have limited space for mobility devices such as walkers and portable wheelchairs and scooters. Please email us if you need to bring one of these so we can make space for it.

Pick up Location: We pick up at all Winton accommodation (including local residences), so we just need to know where you are staying in Winton. If you don't know yet, just put TBA, but please remember to let us know when you know. We start pick ups 15 minutes prior to the tour time but the pick up time is the same for every location - Winton is a small town!
